Devils Tower

Devils Tower was the first National Monument. It was a very strange looking geological feature. I can't say that I thought it was pretty but it was very unique and as you can see by that beautiful blue sky, it was a great day weather-wise.

We decided to take the 1.3 mile trek around the base of the monument.

I tried to get all four of them to pose for a picture. This was the response. Can you tell which kid is the most cooperative when it comes to getting HER picture made???

I tried to get Jordan to smile for a picture or two but he always refused,

until I said, "Say Amberly". Then I got a smile.
Here's the good sized snake that decided to join us on our trek. Lane and I had already walked past him when we heard Chris let out a "whoa". As we turned around, this slithery one was making his way to the path. He was about 5 foot long and we don't know what kind he was. I was glad he was not a rattler.

Here's my girl taking in all the sites with her little camera. She took some great shots. In fact, that snake picture is hers. Lane and I had kept walking way to far to get a picture of the darn thing.

We had a great time at Devils Tower. We weren't there long. We were ready to get on to Cody, WY.
