See them there mountains way over in the distance, so far so that they look like clouds??? Welp, they are not clouds but mountains, yes, I say mountains. And from this picture, they don't look too intimidating but those mountains are far far away, and we got-sta cross em.
We watched those mountains for miles and miles get bigger and bigger.
We finally made it to the summit. And this was the "easy" way over the mountains.
Here's Jackson, in his shorts and t shirt holding a snowball. It was dang cold up there so he didn't stay out there long.
We made it too the top. The Beast (our truck) was not very happy but she did it. She didn't feel too good for the rest of the night but she felt better the next day. This was about a 300 mile drive this day from Devils Tower to Cody. It took us all day because of the mountain. The scenery was absolutely beautiful though. On the other side of the mountain we encountered some "road work". That was the craziest road work I have ever been through. It was so bad, it busted one of our trailer tires and we didn't realize it until we got into Greybull. We don't know for sure how long the trailer rode on the rim but all that was left were the belts wrapped around the axle. It wasn't a flat tire, but a no tire left.
