A 2 1/2 hour devotional
I do not go to movies often. I am so picky (and cheap) that I don't want to spend the time or money on something I am not absolutely sure I am going to love. We went to see "Prince Caspian". It was WONDERFUL. I highly recommend it. Karis and I went together. It was a 2 1/2 hour movie and my wiggly little 6 year old girl sat through the whole thing. We both loved it. It is not a waste of time nor a waste of money. With the spiritual allegory, it was like a 2 1/2 hour devotional.
My fearless daughter
As I was sitting here, enjoying my event free day, my son comes in from Grandmother's house and informs me there is a snake on her driveway. My oldest son heads out to save the day with BB gun in one hand and "sword" (otherwise known as a machetti) in the other. Before he could get down there my grandmother has chopped on its head and my 6 year old daughter had taken a board and smashed on its body. I am sure she was yelling "die, die, die" as she stomped. I asked her why she did that. "I hate snakes." So officially, my almost 90 year old grandmother and 6 year old daughter are law breakers. Did you know it was illegal to kill a snake in TN???
Well, I am thankful that I have such fearless females around me.

A Day of Rest
Finally, a day of rest. Nothing on the calendar to do. Yippee. Last week was full of VBS. And as wonderful and fun as that was, it was alot of work and tiring. We had 9 children accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior!!! How exciting. So our hard work and exhausting evenings were more than worth it.
